I want to make some felt hats with yarn and roving. I can knit but I don't really want to make them like that. Also can I use any yarn ??? I have a lot of weird yarns that are not long enough for any projects. Hints or advice would be welcome. Thanks to all.- Cyn

Sat, December 1, 2007 - 5:43 AMIf you have enough roving to make a hat, then I would used the yarns in a free form within your wet felt project.
Just lay them on there from the beginning. If its wool, it will felt together with your roving.
If its not wool, then make sure you have some roving covering your yarn to "anchor" it together. -

Another thing would be to make peices of felt with the roving and then sew them into hats with the yarns....
